I have a new post up on tumblr. It's amazing how different my drawings look from my sketchbook to photoshop. I actually didn't have to do much fudging in adobe to this one, though, because the colors themselves were vibrant enough.
AND my last post was reblogged by someone! That's always fun.
Just thought I'd share.
Lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that your sketches are becoming more integrated with the quotes as your blog evolves. The last 2 posts have had a real intimate feel to them, like they truly are part of a personal journal.
Good job!
Awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd is there a reason why you stopped putting the text on your images and started putting it beneath them? With this one, I can see why--there is not much room for text.
I really like this. Congrats on the reblog!
ReplyDeleteI like to click on the images and blow them up on my screen so I can get a really good look. Following up on Laura's comment, I noticed that I lost the passage from Proverbs when I clicked it open this time. As I view the images I tend to go back and forth from reading the text and scanning the picture or stopping to take in more of the details. So I couldn't do that this time. It changed the experience of looking at the art and making meaning for me. Not in a bad way. It might have actually made me think about the relationship to the words more because I couldn't reference the text visually.
In lieu of a critique per se, or even questions, I will just share my experience of viewing the work with you and you can use that how you want to. How does that sound?
