Second Life is driving me crazy! It keeps freezing up. I don't know if it's my computer or my internet connection or WHAT but it's driving me crazy (so is my cat. He keeps meowing and being needy and hissing at my dog).
Grr.
(That is me growling)
Just needed to vent to you guys.
Any insight?
(This made me feel better)
1.) put the cat in the other room and close the door. Make sure she has food, water, potty, blanket and toy.
ReplyDelete2) put the dog in a different room or outside...and close the door. Make sure he has food, water, blanket and toy.
3.) try to restart your computer...AGAIN. I'm sure you've ALREADY tried this at least 3 times before or you wouldn't be frustrated, but do it again anyway--never hurts.
4) get a nice cold glass of wine and wait for your computer to reboot.
5) if all else fails just let loose the biggest, baddest, loudest yell your lungs can manage. It won't really help anything, but at least your body will release some of that pent up energy!
6) call me if you need more suggestions; I'll probably be up for a while studying for a mid-term or something.
Thanks for the tips! I didn't read them until today but I'll keep them in mind next time I try to work at home.
ReplyDeleteI am having the same problem in second life with my computer freezing up. I think that we'll have to do our group presentation with Brent when we're up at school because both my internet connection and my computer are slow...
ReplyDeleteI have this problem frequently. SL requires a ginormous amount of memory to run. I have extra-large memory and it still happens to me. You have all probably know this already but, here goes: Make sure you have quit every other program and closed every window that is not SL related before you start. It demands your computer's entire attention. (Kind of the way some of the people in SL are crazy for attention.)
ReplyDeleteThis usually helps.
